VMT worked closely with Vtech Instruments to design and develop the VitriMate kit, for use in the vitrification process crucial to IVF treatment. Vitrification is a modern technique that rapidly freezes reproductive cells to a temperature of -196°C, within seconds. Working with the unique requirements imposed by cryogenic media (Liquid Nitrogen, the VMT team was responsible for the transformation of an initial prototype developed by Vtech Instruments into an aesthetically pleasing and well-engineered product, competitive with renowned global brands. The most challenging component of the process was the development of a vitrification strip with intricate molded features that would be capable of withstanding cryogenic temperatures.
